A bit about Wildwood Soap Company:

Wildwood Soap Company makes beautiful, fragrant, extra-gentle, green as possible soap and bath products with an emphasis on fresh, pure, simple ingredients, scents from nature, and sustainability.
I started making my own soap as I have super sensitive skin, and Idaho is dry skin central with its mountain weather and outdoor way of life; I wanted to be in control of what I washed with. Soapmaking soon became an artistic passion and creative outlet.

My soaps are:

super gentle and non-drying, formulated to last a long time in the shower without melting away.
scented primarily with essential oils or with highest quality skin-safe fragrance oils.
scented richly but not overpowering; I make several unscented varieties as well for facial or super-sensitive skin types.

Product Variation:
My soapmaking is an art using natural materials, so colors and patterns will vary from batch to batch. Scents may differ slightly from season to season as well, since essential oils are natural products and their scent can be a bit different from lot to lot, along with the scent blends created from them.
If you don't see a favorite listed, feel free to inquire about the next availability; I'll email you when it comes off the curing rack and is back in stock. Or inquire about special orders; minimum is 8 bars & depends on blending & availability.

Sustainability:
All products are vegetarian, most vegan, and handmade by me on my farm. Soap is eminently biodegradable and made from natural materials.

I use food-grade oils & butters; for palm I only use organic or certified sustainable palm oil as I don't want to take part in the destruction of the rainforest nor the homes of Orangutans & Tigers.
I don't use essential oils or raw materials from endangered or threatened species.

In the same way, I strive only to use biodegradable ingredients in my non-soap creations, so you can feel good about using my products from start to finish.
I'm striving to reduce and recycle in packaging, which means paper labels, recyclable boxes and packing materials, and minimal packaging. Tins are re-useable & recyclable, the lip balm tubes & cream jars recyclable &/or with post consumer content.

I travel a lot, and have bought artisan soaps all over the U.S. and in several other countries. Your soap is by far the best I have ever used! It has a wonderful, rich lather that is like silk cream on my skin. I can’t wait to take a shower every day just because I can use your soap! No other soap has that same soft lather. I don’t know what your secret is, but please don’t ever stop making it! I order it from you online when I need it. It is the only soap I will use! 😁😇!

4 years ago we were visiting family in Idaho and I bought some of your lip balm. Since then every year when we come out I buy a year's worth. It is the most amazing stuff.
